Collectively we are facing “unprecedented times” (all the politicians are saying it) surrounding the Corona virus. It has given the human race a little dose of reality, we are by no means the apex predator anymore.

This microbial War that we are fighting will no doubt have affected everyone reading this. The physical, mental and socio-economic impact this will leave will not be short lived, our lives have changed forever and now we need to adapt. Adding structure and discipline to your daily routine will help combat this isolation period.

Maintaining physical and mental health through exercise will play a vital role in overcoming feelings of stress and boredom. Many of you will have limited access to gym equipment but utilising the most fundamental weight not commonly used in the gym will not only maintain fitness levels but progress them in the comfort of your own home.

I am of course talking about your own body. There is a plethora of bodyweight (BW) exercises that can be programmed and structured into a home workout to build strength both physically and neurologically. This is why I am here to provide you with my WILLING FITNESS LOCKDOWN WORKOUT.

The idea is you can take the training into your own hands without the need of tuning in at 9:30am for a morning P.E lesson. Adapting the workout protocols using a wide range of static movements to promote strength and challenging dynamic movements to get the heart rate firing. You will be able to design and build your own plan to be done with family members from home, over Skype or out in the park as your form of exercise each day. 

Using the YouTube library you will learn how to effectively warm-up your body before every session and add variety to each workout with the extensive list of exercises in the tutorial videos. 

The program is available in a google sheets format where I will regularly be posting new sessions,  but feel free to be creative!

I am going to use these testing times to add more content to my social channels covering topics of mobility, injury rehabilitation and technique to help educate you understand and eradicate pain adding longevity to your training career when all this has been resolved!
